MSNBC Guest Calls Meghan Markle
In an interview with MSNBC this morning, Victoria Mather, a journalist from the United Kingdom, described Meghan Markle as “just five clicks from the trailer basket,” a Deadline report found.
The interview focused on Meghan and Harry’s first return to the UK after first revealing that they were stepping down from their royal duties earlier this year.
Mather told MSNBC anchor Lindsey Reiser that British citizens have since changed their minds about Meghan due to the way she has treated Queen Elizabeth II.

Mather said on the show that many people think Markle is “just five clicks from the trailer basket” when she explains why so many people in the UK no longer like him the way they did before. Mather added that Queen Elizabeth II was probably one of the most respected people in the world.
Mather’s biography on Twitter says she was travel editor for Vanity Fair, but BuzzFeed said she had since stopped working for the magazine, quitting in 2018 and is now employed by Air Mail. Graydon Carter, the former editor of Vanity Fair, founded Air Mail.
When asked for comment in several publications, the owner of Vanity Fair, Condé Nast, declined to comment. On Twitter, Mather’s comments were not taken lightly by social media users, many of whom said she was “disgusting” and “racist”.
